Change default opening program on multiple servers

Hi all,

I've a .opt file, which happens to be configuration file for backup. this files opens with notepad but we always have to choose the default program to notepad.

I want to set the default program to open all the .opt files on all the servers in my enviroment to notepad.

I want to do this because I've to run a script and that script only recognises files that can be opened through notepad. I've tested it that the script works on server where default program for .opt is notepad but not on the servers where default program for .opt is not notepad.
