Help! I can't get console output to text file to format properly!

When I run my PS script, the console output looks like:

Item1
Item2
Item3

When I try to send the output to a text file with Out-File, I get:

Item1Item2Item3

I have tried every combination and formatting parameter I can think of, but I can't get it to work.

Any suggestions?
